Car Into a Tree Sends Occupants to the Hospital

WILLIAMSBURG, MA – Goshen firefighters were called to a reported motor vehicle accident on Berkshire Trail East (Route 9).  However, the accident was actually on Goshen Road in Williamsburg.  As a result, Williamsburg firefighters were also dispatched to the scene.

A bent street sign and tire tracks in the soft dirt alongside Goshen Road show how far the car traveled before hitting a tree.  Both occupants of the vehicle were injured so two ambulances were dispatched to the scene.

If you look closely, you can see the rear brake light of the car in the woods. The occupants had the luck of the Irish on their side because the accident was witnessed by another motorist. Their car ended up 20 feet off the roadway and down a slight embankment which would have made it difficult to see otherwise.
