GOSHEN, MA – Celia E. (Marcheska) Thomas, 57, of 29 South Main St. died Sunday at home.

She and her husband, Anthony Thomas, owned and operated the Lunch Box Restaurant in Williamsburg for 26 years.

Born in South Deerfield, Mrs. Thomas was graduated from Deerfield High School in 1954. She was a communicant of Mary’s Church in Haydenville.

She was on the Alternate Board of Appeals here, the Council on Aging, and many other town organizations. She was a former member of the Arts Council.

She was an emergency medical technician for the Fire Department for 15 years, and was honored by the Hampshire County Emergency Services.

Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Anthony III of Hatfield and John of Northampton; two daughters, Brenda Lessard and Tina Thomas of Williamsburg; her mother, Helena (Baranoski) Marcheska of South Deerfield; three brothers, Carl of Hatfield, David of Whately, and Edward of Greenfield; three sisters, Jean Michalowski of Hatfield, Carolyn Schorge of Northampton, and Wanda Roberts of Goshen; three grandchildren.

The funeral will be Thursday morning at Childs Funeral Home in Haydenville, and St. Mary’s Church, with burial in Goshen Cemetery. Calling hours are this afternoon and evening and Wednesday afternoon and evening.
