BLOOMFIELD, CT – Those were the emotional words spoken by Shawn Bell at today’s memorial service for his older brother and Hartford firefighter Kevin Bell. Firefighter Bell, who was killed in the line of duty on October 7th, 2014 was honored today by several thousand firefighters, family and friends.
Members of the Goshen Fire Department along with firefighters from across our region and our nation paid tribute to his memory during a moving ceremony at The First Cathedral in Bloomfield CT. Those of us attending the ceremony were moved by the personal remarks made by dignitaries, fellow firefighters and close friends that were bookmarked by rousing musical selections by the church choir.
The members of the Goshen Fire Department would like to express our deepest condolences to the Bell family and members of the Hartford Fire Department on their loss.
