Senior SAFE Services

The Goshen Fire Department annually applies for the Department of Fire Services Senior SAFE (Student Awareness of Fire Education) grants with the Goshen Council on Aging.

The grant funds services and education that we provide for senior citizens that are Goshen residents.

Those services include:

• Fire Safety Inspections
• Smoke and CO Detectors (Including detectors for hard of hearing and those with poor vision)
• Knox Box Lending Program (Individual exterior safes for house key that only the fire department can utilize in the event of an emergency)
• House Numbers (Both mailbox stickers and metallic house numbers)
• Fall safety materials (Bed railings, etc)
