Williamsburg, MA – Goshen firefighters were called to the town of Williamsburg on January 9 at 12:45. Initial reports indicated that the home was filling with smoke.
Upon arrival firefighters found a heavily involved basement fire.
Firefighters attacked the fire and quickly suppressed the lower fire. The basement had a considerable amount of contents which impeded the efforts.
After initial suppression firefighters removed household content manual to salvage and prevent reignition. Damage was estimated at $80,000 – 100,000 in total.
Firefighters returned to quarters later that afternoon.
