GOSHEN, MA – Rt. 9 was temporarily closed due to a two car MVA and electrical line.
Sleet and winter temperatures led to a west bound tractor trailer truck slipping. The trucker crossed the road and struck both a car and the electrical pole.
Ernie’s and Red’s Towing were uses to remove the car and tractor trailer from the road. National Grid turned off the power so that towing crews could perform, replaced the pole and then restored power. DEP investigated a diesel spill from the truck.
Goshen units were on scene for over two hours.
